We are an internationally acclaimed multidisciplinary consulting firm in the built industry, and we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join the team.
Applicants should have 5-7 years of post-graduation experience, of which a minimum of 2 years should have been spent in a senior position handling similar responsibilities in a reputable organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare a drawing list and a project work plan
- Assist the design and production teams, review engineering content with clients and partners, direct day-to-day departmental requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance objectives.
- Proactively lead constituted project teams and attend to all project administration and management tasks.
- Resolve technical issues and establish patterns and practices for the department.
- Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all client questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and escalate where necessary.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Assist with conducting training needs analysis and departmental or individual training on quality service standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support Project Engineers on-site with relevant information as may be required for optimal performance on site.
- Act as the firm’s engineering expertise and represent the firm in contract negotiations.
Qualifications
- A first degree in engineering with a good grade from areputable institution. Additional professional qualifications such as NSE and COREN are a must.
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
- A degree or diploma in project management is an advantage.
